REGULATORS

Tablet Sync

Every regulator works on a tablet at their POD. Departures, passengers, bus and duty are captured on the device, work offline and sync to the portal automatically. This view shows device health and what has arrived.

How the tablet feed works

1 CaptureThe regulator records actual departure, passengers, bus and duty for each scheduled trip on the tablet.
2 Store on deviceRecords are saved on the tablet first, so a lost signal never loses data.
3 SyncWhen online the tablet sends them over HTTPS every minutes (Configuration).
4 Validate & storeThe backend checks the POD, route and time, then writes to the portal database with an audit trail.
5 UseRegulator Sheet, duty roster, kilometre checks, punctuality reports and penalties read the same data.
Rules. A synced record cannot be edited on the tablet or typed over in the portal. Corrections are requested on the Regulator Sheet and made through the back-office with a reason and audit trail. A tablet with no sync for hours is flagged. Tablets are registered by the Administrator (Master Data → Regulator tablets); regulators sign in with a personal PIN issued by their VOC.
